Sweet Georgia Graves Harvest Pumpkin Cookies I was given this “secret” recipe many years ago and was so glad to be able to keep the secret so that I could make these cookies for my friends for special occasions. People call me with cravings for a batch of these cookies! And now friends…here it is!

1 egg
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup butter

½ cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
½ cup butter
1 box of powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make cookies, melt butter. In a large bowl, mix egg, sugar, flour, cinnamon, pumpkin, baking soda and salt. Add butter. Drop on greased cookie sheet, about one tablespoon each. Bake until cookies are “springy”. To make the icing, bring brown sugar, milk and butter to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and begin adding sifted powdered sugar and stirring until icing reaches spreading consistency. Cool just a bit and then frost the cookies. * Warning – I promise you will wish you doubled this recipe!
