Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make cookies, melt butter. In a large bowl, mix egg, sugar, flour, cinnamon, pumpkin, baking soda and salt. Add butter. Drop on greased cookie sheet, about one tablespoon each. Bake until cookies are “springy”. To make the icing, bring brown sugar, milk and butter to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and begin adding sifted powdered sugar and stirring until icing reaches spreading consistency.
